So in a bid to garner my first points towards this keenly fought duel, I present these fearsome Cultists, after all what could be more 'Pulp' than a cowl wearing, club wielding Cultist? These were originally from the 'The Servants of Ra' box set, a faction for 'In Her Majesty's Name' ruleset released through Osprey Publishing.
Available from 'North Star Military Figures', I'm afraid I struggled for an original take on these and plumped for the red as shown on the original box art. Now what to use them for?
Nice work Michael. These chaps will be useful in so many games. That's 30 points toward your Pulp challenge (and the main challenge of course).
very nice Michael. I am particularly fond of the unshaven. They do look very thug like and I can see these being used for so many games, everything from Tarzan Jungle Capers to Roman riots (Not the pistol armed ones of course unless you do a time travel game!)... and just about EVERYTHING in between.
ReplyDeleteThey look good you will find a good way to use them they are too prety not to use :)
ReplyDeleteGreat opening entry to the Pulp Side Challenge, Michael. They are absolutely awesome. Thank goodness I have a points bomb coming ;-)
ReplyDeleteExcellent work Sir Michael!
ReplyDeleteWonderfully weird post Michael!
ReplyDeleteThey look really great, the robes have come out a treat
ReplyDeleteGreat work - solid painting. Nothing like a group of good old classic cultists of Ra...
ReplyDeleteIncredibly cool looking cultists you've painted there.
ReplyDeleteIt's very difficult to be 'original' with cultists but you can't go wrong with a bunch of unshaven loons in debauched red robes. :)
ReplyDeleteA great shade of red Michael! Well done!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Lovely cults Michael!
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many cultists. Great work!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking work Michael and that red is so very nicely done
ReplyDeleteIan
Very nice looking cultists. cheers
ReplyDeleteOne does not need a purpose to own/paint Cultists sir. They are in and off themselves both a reason and a reward. :-) Lovely stuff as always Michael and your red is gorgeous. For me the only other options are black or purple anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely solid red, and I love the basing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great red, well done
ReplyDeleteThank you all, I was particularly pleased with red and thrilled obviously to actually get something finished!
ReplyDeleteNice work Michael! Some really great looking cultists :)
ReplyDeleteGreat cultists Michael! One doesn't always need an original take on a subject... as long as the results are anywhere near yours.
ReplyDeleteThe look very nice,Michael! Red robes and clubs are always in fashion for loyal, fanatic, nefarious minions! ;)
