Hi All , with Xmas fast approaching I though I best get a first entry on the roster. This years challenge will see a fair bit of variety along with more stuff for the Sudan, Brits, Egyptian and Sudaness - there will be camels aplenty as Sander and I have a little camel related "challenge!"

I have some 1980s 6mm to continue with as i have game coming up with fellow challengers Martin C and James M  Also last year Martin and I picked up Death in the Dark Continent and Congo , so there will a foray or two into that. I have some VBCW troops to do following a game with Martin and friends earlier in the year.

Ahh, it's great to see our intrepid duo back again for another Challenge season. I was wondering why Docherty and Millsy were in Legion gettup, but I now understand in light of the smelly 'incident at Gimp'...

Lovely work, Dave - I really like the white kepis and the fully rigged pack on the one figure. And I must say that piece of terrain is cracking as well. Is that one of the pieces you picked up at CRISIS this year? All together, an excellent vignette and a terrific opening chapter for the continuing adventures of Docherty and Millsy. :)

I've had a very busy week, the York Show last Sunday, 2 days of prepping the figs I bought, a fantastic game of Zombicide with Blaxkleric by video on the Analogue Painting Challengers Google+ Community on Saturday night and all day Sunday I was fighting the 3rd Battle of El Teb with the Old Guard Wargames club, plus a quick game of Impetus (My first) with me and DaveD as Rep Romans vs Pete and John as Carthage. Dave was recklessly brave and I was resiliently tough. We won. Yay us. More details on my blog.

Enough of the excuses, this is what I've painted

Midianite Camel Archers. These were originally from warlord with 2 archers per camel. I was never happy with this so I bought some camels from Irregular Minatures at York. Repainted the archers and put them on the camels

Resin Staff Car - also from York show. Can't remember the company

Steam Punk Sailors out of a Northstar lucky bag. Gave the bases a Martian colour with brick red ink

French Foreign legion - Unfeasibly Miniatures. These are nice figs.

That is 16 infantry, 6 mtd and a staff car. If I get a wriggle on there will be some more before deadline

From RayR - 28mm Donnybrook Moors (30 points)

Yep......me again! For my second entry today, were off to sunny Morocco, which believe it or not does actually look a little like the background in my pic?
The 4 foot figures are from Unfeasably Miniatures and are from their French Foreign Legion/Tuareg  range, but I thought they'd fit in well for my Moroccan Moors with Muskets. In the Donnybrook rules you're not allowed many muskets for the Moors, but hopefully I'll be painting up a few more figures for my Moors.

This lovely looking chap, goes by the name of Ab'd Allah Ghailan, but was better known by the English as Gayland. But he could also pose as Omar Ben Haddn, the Alcaid of Alcazar for later battles.They were two of the Moor leaders who led the Tangier garrison on a merry dance! I've had this figures for years. Its an Essex Miniature and I do believe its now out of production?

So I make that 30 points to add to my total?

You see, you can get the points right when you apply yourself!
