A little bit of a rushed entry this one. Here are two standing stones, marking the graves of many ancient warriors who fell in battle.
Welcome to the Painting Challenge. Here you will find the fabulous, fevered work of miniature painters from around the world. While participants come from every ethnicity, gender, age and nationality, they have three things in common: they love miniatures, they enjoy a supportive community, and they want to set themselves against the Challenge. This site features the current year's event along with the archives of past Painting Challenges. Enjoy your visit and remember to come back soon.

From StuartL - The Graves Have Risen From Their Dead - 30 Points
No, you haven't misread the title of the post. For this entry, we will be entering the Golem's Haunt in the Chambers of Challenge, and while it may be more common to create Golems from flesh or bones, the one I have painted up is a little different.
Presenting the Gravestone Golem, made from 100% free range Graves.
The mini comes from Reaper's Bones range of minis and was a lot of fun to paint, being mainly washes and drybrushing over the base coats. Shown here next to a 28m Ringwraith for scale, you can see how big this beasty is. It stands nearly 60mm tall to the top of it's head, so I am going to score it as a 54mm foot figure. That gives me 10 points, plus 20 for the chamber, for a total of 30 points. As you'd expect, there are a few skulls on this mini, so I will be putting my first 12 Skullz onto the scoreboard for that side duel.

From ScottM: Grave Concern at Awdry's Atoll (95 Points)
These were stupidly simple to do up. Now that I have the graveyard, it needs some occupants. So I went with a dozen zombies.
So that should be:
12 x 28mm foot figs = 60 points
4 120mm bases = 5 points (?) +30 (location), for a total of 95 points

Thematically creepy! Now I'll the Michael Jackson song "Thriller" stuck in my head all day...
Despite that, I'll still give you the 95 points :-)
