From NoelW: The road is long: (270 points)

I'd hoped to have finished more today. My target of 5000 by the end of the Challenge is looking a tad difficult. I think I'll need around 700 points on the final day. I guess it's time to change my name to Miles.

But today I have 6 Republican Roman cavalry:

And a small Spanish unit to oppose them:

As is often the case, I don't know the manufacturer, but they seem like Wargames Foundry figures, judging by the style.

Also, two more military orders to join the Templars. 18 Hospitallers:

And 16 Teutons:

These are all Fireforge figures.

Scoring: 9 cavalry: 90 pts; 34 infantry, 170 pts: TOTAL: 260.

After a few months away I come in to minion a Noel post only to discover it's the ONLY one that doesn't have a novella attached to it. Harumph! Cheated.

5000 points as a target?! Jeez Louise, that is just eye wateringly incredible, Noel. And you told me at the close of last year's Challenge that you were going to take it easy this time out. You big phony. ;)

This assortment of figures look great. While I'm typically a sucker for cavalry (and these are excellent), I have to say my eye was immediately drawn by the stark, clean heraldry of your Hospitallers and Teutonic knights. Two very impressive units of troops you have there. Well done, young man.

With this post you take the honour of pushing us past our group points target of 64,308 (with your personal total making up around a 14th of that by itself!). I look forward to seeing how close you can make it to 5K in our last day of the event.

KentG 28mm Iberian Cavalry (pts 120)

Ok so this week has been crazy i've painted 6 out of 7 nights
which i haven't done in the whole comp normally only painting three nights a week plus saturdays, but what i have been doing throughout the whole challenge is in my lunchtime is painting live on google + analogue painting challenge live chat, can i encourage you to join the group
awesome bunch of guys and has made the challenge even more fun, also it runs all year round so
hopefully ill see some of you guys on the chat

Ok so these guys are victrix 28mm Iberian cavalry they are really nice figures with great
detail but as per normal with Victrix you need to be very careful with the spears,

I hand painted the shields on these guys as the client they are going to didn't supply transfers
i must say it took me a lot longer but i'm really pleased with how the shield turned out

12x 28mm Cavalry = 120

From Byron:
Another amazing entry today that I managed to snag to comment on!  Superb work here Kent especially given the subject matter.  I hate painting cavalry as I find I never get them looking real, but yours look superb.  Secondly, hand painting patterns on shields is another thing that I just never seem to manage, yet yours look stunning.  With those two things in mind I will be using my honour guard status as a minion to award an extra few points and bump you up to 126 for the unit.

Great work, I honestly don't know how you manage to bang out as many figures as you do and have them look this good, and I will miss seeing entries like this when the challenge ends in a few days.  I hope to see more great miniatures like this next year.

From VictorK - Iberian Cavalry (115 points)

So, as I've promised, here are some Iberian cavalryman. The same painting scheme, but this time I hadn't enough time to paint their shields in the same manner as I've done for the Spanish infantry. Shields were painted in an easier way, with less colours. The models are Forged in Battle, and they are really nice - horses have some awesome decorations on them, riders are really different.

I had to paint them as fast as possible to be in time for Wednesday, because we had a game with my friend, and I had no other cavalry to support my Romans.

Here are three units of cavalry (two stands of 4 models each),cavalry command and foot command.

So, 26 x 4 + 3 x 2 = 104 + 6 = 110, simple as that, and now I have less than a hundred points to my target.

Excellent work on these units Victor. The nice ground work you did really enhanced their look. I can almost feel the stampede of the impending charge. I will add five points because there is some work on these shield, and because I want to screw up your calculation of how many points you have left to paint. Yes, I am that kind of person. Good job! From VictorK: Ancient Iberians in 15mm (100 pts)

Okay, as I've promised a week ago, here are some Iberian allies (again allies!) for roman forces. Minis are 15mm Forged in Battle. There are many different sculpts in the pack, I must just say, they are awesome, but it was really hard to paint them after Gauls - more details, also, I've never painted linothorax, this is quite a difficult task.

First is the group photo, 3 units of 16 guys.

And unit-by-unit pictures.

So, again, I went for different shield designs (lots of thanks for you guys, your kind words were really nice to read!), but this time there were less colours - I want to make Iberians look as more "regular" and disciplined force, than Gauls, but not like Romans or Hellenistic forces.

There are 48 15mm foot, so 96 points for this time.

Next to go are either some 28mm space-pirates-and-soldiers, or 15mm Iberian cavalry, I'll see, how it goes.

Oh wow Victor, I liked your Gauls last week a lot, but these are stonking. Really fine work, in such a simple colour scheme. The shield designs really bring these fierce Iberian warriors to life. I've heard lots of people raving about how good Forged in Battle miniatures are, and you've really done these justice.
96 base points, but let's round that up to reflect the extra work from the shield designs.
