One more batch for my Mathias Corvinus Black Army project with a Hungarian camp, a unit of Germano- Bohemian light archers, a mounted Wallachian commander, of course a really speculative representation of Vlad Tepes "The kind" (lol), the main part of the figure is coming from a Moldavian knight, his right arm is from a hungarian light cavalryman and the horse is from the renaissance cossack command pack.
The figures are all from Essex Miniatures (as usual I should say;) except Stanczyk the polish jester from Corvus Belli, the tents are from Beauda medieval range.
and the view from the hill!
next episode there will be a surprise!
From Curt:Very cool entry Gilles. I love Vlad's flag and that musician's horn looks ready to bring down an avalanche or two. Those tents from Beauda are excellent as well (though I'm sorry that they're worn no points) - they have such nice terrain offerings. Great job and I look forward to your upcoming surprise entry!
That standard is amazing, mind you the figures are no slouch

Very nice painting work.
ReplyDeleteLovely work Gilles :)
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff... Nice colour choice
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Gilles - I had to look twice to check that these were actually 15 and not 28mm, the detail was so good. Voivode Vlad's banner is particularly fine!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Very, very cool Gilles.
ReplyDeleteTerrific stuff. Great vibrant colours. Just terrific :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat work! The tents are superb.
ReplyDeleteLovely work, I like the tents!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great project. I especially like the command stand with the hand painted flag. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteNice work on the figs and that flag is stellar. I too like those tents. They are a fresh addition to the Challenge.
ReplyDeleteI've got the same tents, coincidentally painted in a very similar scheme. They're gorgeous and I really enjoyed doing them. Yours look superb Gilles but the dragon banner takes the cake!
ReplyDeleteThe Banner and the tents clearly show the reason to do 15mm late medieval/renaissance wargames. They really are terrific and with be great additions to the table. (As are the rest of the troops).
ReplyDeletethanks a lot everyone, your comments are very kind and a great support to paint.
ReplyDeleteWarm regards.
Be seeing you ......
