Here's the standing as of March 23rd, for the non-Skull related duels. I would ask all Duellists to check their scores and make sure that everything is recorded correctly. The end date of the challenge is done and dusted but I will give the Duellists until March 26th to get their forms submitted. Again some Duellists may be Sandbagging...
First up an updated pie chart of activity.
SD1 (Moose and ) Squirrel Duel

GeoffT held the lead all challenge, despite an early run by Curt and a late charge by Martijn. All Hail Squirrel-Whisperer Geoff.

SD2 30K Heresies

Congrats to Greg, who outscored all other challengers combined. In these crazy and chaotic times it is comforting to know that the right lunatic won tis challenge.

Curt | 130 |

SD3 Skulls

Scoring is pure head count (pun intended). This one will be adjudicated by Barks.
I will leave skull tallies to our resident Post-Mortem Phrenologist.
SD4 Mech Madness

This duel tightened up but Sander prevailed. Congrats to the MechMaster.

SD5 WW2 Duel
Well this one escalated quickly! There were 978 points recorded between March 4-20th! DaveD leads the way following a late war punch through the Ardennes. Funny, I thought the project was one he did a lot of this work earlier in the challenge (dare I raise the S word here?). Hard on his heels was DavidB who mobilized his motorpool.
This one needs auditing and confirmation was everyone involved. I am sure that MattW has a lot more than 30 W2 points.
SD5 WW2 Duel |
DaveD | 438 |
DavidB | 360 |
GeoffT | 180 |
MattW | 30 |

SD6 Napoleonics

After three months there are seemingly two points separating Lee and Ray. However, I refuse to call a winner on this one. Ray did not fill in a Duels form after March 5th and had several Napoleonic posts after that date. The Sandbagging king has until Wednesday to claim those points or suffer defeat.

MattW | 200 |

SD7 Can Opener

There was little doubt about this one from day 1. Kerry was a clear winner.

SD8 Retreat from Moscow

See my comments on the Napoleonic Duel above. I suspect both Lee and Ray of Sandbagging, as neither's total matches their Napoleonics scores.

RayR | 1003 |

SD9 Colonial Wars
Zulus, a thousand of 'em! Congrats to DaveD on this one.

Well done to all of the duellists.
I'm in trouble again.....
ReplyDeleteAlways
DeleteWhen have you ever not been in trouble Ray?
DeleteGood point?
DeleteMe to...i was sure I'd submitted everything. I'll go check and rectify forthwith!
ReplyDeleteHI Peter. Sorted now I think. Thankfully I kept the receipt emails and have gone through them all. I'd missed one entry which I've now added. I should have the same tally for the SD6 & SD8 at 1075pts. Ray's gonna beat me though...unless you can find an excuse to disqualify some of his points 😉😉 😆
DeleteThanks for looking after this Lee. I’ll see what I can do….
DeleteRob .. I think that was not just a train that hit ya.. an express ! Usuthu!
ReplyDeleteI may have neglected to log my WW2 for a bit - just saying
DeleteSandbagged!
DeleteMoose? Squirrell? Can opener? Ummm..anyone explain for me?
ReplyDeleteI can try to explain, but I can’t make it sound sensible.
DeleteThe squirrel duel has been running several Challenges now. Duellists get 1 🐿️ for every different project that they work on (wit( a 25 point threshold).
The moose is down to my attempt at humour, Growing up in the 60s Rocky and Bullwinkle was my favourite cartoon.
The can opener is new this year. Duellists get points for figures, tanks or ships with metal armour, ie things that a can opener might be used on.
Woohoo! Silver can-opener!
ReplyDeleteNote to self- the squirrel duel is dangerously distracting when you don't have 25 points ready to go...
Well yes squirrels 🐿️ are distracting.
DeleteHave not submitted for weeks ….
ReplyDeleteMy bad then, must have confused you with someone else doing early WW2.
Deletelol, sent my points in
DeleteHuzzah, a win. I’d celebrate the success, but as a squirrel lord I have already moved onto something else.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the top duelists! Fantastic stuff Peter! Thank you for being our Duels Wallah this year as there were a lot of plates to spin and tabulate. As to myself, I am pleased as I managed to fight my way onto the podium for most of my duels. Hmm, maybe I'll try to take David's skull next year... :)
ReplyDeleteWell done Curt. You could almost count your duels ar another squirrel!
DeleteI am, as ever, so very pleased to be "the right lunatic"...
ReplyDeletePeter, thanks for your efforts! I will proudly cherish the title of Mech Master...
ReplyDeleteJust as long as you use it for goodness instead of evil...
DeleteCongrats on the win Sander. The mechs I received just as the challenge ended have a tiger stripe camo. New small stencils have been ordered. It will be interesting to see how these turn out.
DeleteThanks for all the good and arduous work, Peter! My sprint came much too late of course, congratulations to Geoff and all the other worthy winners. Revanche in Challenge XVI!
