So we still have random picture problems, it's all a ploy to stop Noel catching up with me. To those posters today who have successfully repaired your posts so that I could put them up can you comment below on how you did it.

Welcome to the Painting Challenge. Here you will find the fabulous, fevered work of miniature painters from around the world. While participants come from every ethnicity, gender, age and nationality, they have three things in common: they love miniatures, they enjoy a supportive community, and they want to set themselves against the Challenge. This site features the current year's event along with the archives of past Painting Challenges. Enjoy your visit and remember to come back soon.
Martin - I.m not sure what's going on. I replaced the "missing" picture, even tho' it wasn't missing when I inspected it, Tamsin said it was visible to her, and now it seems to be missing again. So I've just completely redone my post, and it looks fine both in Edit and Preview. Can you check it please?
ReplyDeleteJust checked and it looked OK to me.
DeleteBut Martin says not! I've replaced image 3 with a smaller file. Also, crossed my fingers.
DeleteIn one case I just removed all pictures and uploaded them a second time. In the other case I had to delete the post and made a new one...
ReplyDeleteAnother thing that might work is drafting your posts in your own blog (if you have one, mind you) and then simply copying and pasting it into the Challenge blog when you're ready (remembering to populate the metadata and title fields).
ReplyDeleteIf this issue persists we may have to allow people to publish their own work with the minions coming in later to update the points roster. Actually, this might be a interesting experiment for future challenges...
Sounds interesting Curt, chaotic but interesting.
DeleteCheers, Ross
The first time I checked everything and previewed the post; everything appeared in place.
ReplyDeleteWas notified later in the day that there were still missing pictures.
This time I removed the pictures and replaced them, then preview and saved. This time I did the post via blogger on the Mac rather than the phone.
Cheers, Ross
Your post for tomorrow still has the first four pics not showing up.
DeleteYou might want to try what Sander did - create a new post, add the pics one at a time and then delete the original post.
I know it's a pain - it's just as frustrating for us minions as we're having to keep checking several posts.
