From MattW: Legio XI (331 points)

 Legio XI

Well last week I nearly hit my goal points for the challenge, but I failed to complete the shield decals and complete the hand painted vexillum and shields on the Centurions.  This weeks entries will I blow it out of the 1000 point goal out of the water. The Roman legion I have been working on since the beginning of the challenge commenced is more than half way ….I still need to complete another four Cohorts to complete the legion but need more command figures to do this and some may also get posted later today, so when the commands arrive I will return in a few weeks to complete the legion.

May I present to you the XI legion

XI legion Commander, legate, guard and prisoner

Mounted Auxiliary Commander, equestrian order

I Cohort and Eagle

II Cohort

III Cohort

IV Cohort

Points
Command                         20 points
Mounted                            10 points
Cohorts                              45 x 5 = 225
Cohort 4                             14 x 5 = 70
Hand painted shields and Velixiums. 3 + 3 = 3 points?

Total points  328 points

Cheers
Matt

That's a lot of lovely work there, Matt! I'm not sure what they taught you at school, but at mine we were taught that 3 + 3 = 6! So, that's 331 points for you!

    1. Cheers, I has been a bloody slog, I do not recommend attacking 80 odd legionaries at once… and to think I still have more to do then the rest of the Auxiliaries

    1. Yes, first time I have surpassed my goal, but after last years disaster I thought a smaller goal would take the pressure off.
