DaveD and I have amassed large Vietnam War collections and over the summer plan to run a game in Scarborough. For those of you who don't know Scarborough, Yorkshire, it is a victorian seaside town that has seen better days. In a distopian future it will be the place were we are governed by our seagull overlords.
The game is going to be massive on 2 24x6ft tables. So we need a lot of terrain, 48ft of jungle is loads. One of the prblems with big games is that the hills are too small and I had a plan to build a massive hill/valley that spanned the table and really broke up the terrain. Actually I'm planning 3 of these.
So I built it out of 1" insulation board and a lot of tufts
Well, that's certainly a very big hill and well designed for playability. And you're planning to make another two of these? Cripes!

Good lad , we will need a van to transport the terrain!
ReplyDeleteto be clear, you need a van
DeleteNicely done Martin. If only Scarborough was a bit more south than Yorkshire!
ReplyDeletecheers,it's not that far
DeleteGreat stuff Martin, one can never have enough insulation board (storage space permitting 🤨)
ReplyDeleteta, but it got realy expensive. these were off cuts from a friend
DeleteNice Work
ReplyDeleteta
DeleteA monster terrain piece, but well executed
ReplyDeletethank you
DeleteIt’s massive and you’re doing three of them! Between you and Yarkshire Ken it appears Northern Lads tend to go big.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great and I want one!
go big or go home. it's all Dave's fault
DeleteGreat battle board! Sounds like that dystopian future will not be much different from today, then.
ReplyDeleteta, yes Scarborough is quite terrifying, but the food and pubs are good
DeleteScarborough is a great place but its too far from NZ, great stuff Martin
ReplyDeleteNZ is a hell of a commute, thanks
DeleteMmmmm 250milea north to me... Mmmmmm... This summer you say... Mmmmmmm.... 😅 Looks great and that's an amazing amount of points for a serious amount of terrain also! Great job! Bet the game will be amazing.
ReplyDeletecheers, if you are interested, let me know. it will be a 3 day event
DeleteVery might do just that as the family heads to Turkey for the summer so would have the time potentially!
Deletecool, i'll ping you some info
DeleteNow THAT is a hill!
ReplyDeleteglad you are impressed
