Welcome to the Painting Challenge. Here you will find the fabulous, fevered work of miniature painters from around the world. While participants come from every ethnicity, gender, age and nationality, they have three things in common: they love miniatures, they enjoy a supportive community, and they want to set themselves against the Challenge. This site features the current year's event along with the archives of past Painting Challenges. Enjoy your visit and remember to come back soon.
I've started... Pity I have to get ready for work in a minute but hey, the first brush strokes have been made.
ReplyDeleteCall in sick, silly man!
DeleteI should have... now at my desk with a growing feeling that I have made a terrible tactical error (I feeling I often have when wargaming).
DeleteI'm in bed
ReplyDeleteTypical lazy academic... ;)
DeleteI've a busy day ahead, it's the Christmas Party
DeleteBreakfast time! But all the undercoated figures head out of their bags this evening...
ReplyDeleteWe'll see you later Jamie.
DeleteNo need to hurry Jamie...
DeleteI put the children to bed and begin :)
ReplyDeleteHey, it's 10am in the morning where you are! Did you keep them up all night to tire them out? :)
DeleteOh no, Curt! It - daytime sleep, just an hour, I do not have time to do a lot - just look at the miniatures and pour the water into the can :)
DeleteBeen up 6 minutes and not a thing done!!!
ReplyDeleteOK will start now :-) good painting everyone
Ian
Well it looks like I've peaked early this year, 30 place!!! I'll take that!
ReplyDeleteGood luck everyone!
Congratulations! Lol
DeleteYep 52 places ahead of me..... More surprising 51 places ahead of Dave Doc!
DeleteWill try to make a few brush strokes later... Just cleaned up the man cave a minute ago so might have been a little late with my preparations ;-)
ReplyDeletejust done the last undercoating but as just finished the night shift I guess I will be sleeping before I put brush to paint
ReplyDeleteI will be participating fully today.... !
ReplyDelete8th place without even submitting anything! ;)
ReplyDeleteWishing everyone a successful Challenge, whatever their goals :)
I thought it started on the 21st! Dammit, clear that workbench, Evan!
ReplyDeleteBrushes stroking , compressor humming , all systems go! Good luck everyone
ReplyDeleteI spent the wee hours painting bases and preping to really paint tomorrow. Well I guess I mean later today. To bed now. With that "I've bitten off more than I can chew" feeling dancing in my head
ReplyDeleteOh good Lord. 82nd Place. That means the despicable Ray is beating me!!! Ahhh I feel panic setting in.
ReplyDeleteI had best get started then.
Now if I only knew what I was doing!!!
Good luck all . Hope the paint never runs dry and the brushes always keep their point!
Despicable Ray... it has a ring to it
DeleteSo does Diabolical Dave!
DeleteJust saying!
Thank goodness. The suspense was killing me!
ReplyDeleteMy last workday of the week, as my day starts at 0230 and finishes by 2100, I'm going to start tomarrow. As soon as I figure out which box has my paints, which tote is my primed pile, and where to put the moving debris on my tables. At least I know I WON'T be outside tomarrow! ;)
ReplyDeleteFirst entry has been submitted - now I need to take a break and finish up my final machinations in the financial world - just a few more dodgy investment to flog to unsuspecting widows and orphans then I've reached my quota for the year.
ReplyDeleteGiven how little sleep I got last night thanks to my wife's restlessness I should have gotten started. After work today.
ReplyDeleteGood luck all! Am already diving in here full throttle with some WFH combo work here.. Let's see how much gets done over the holidays! :D
ReplyDeletePainting Challenge + wine + primed figures + Netflix = good times...
ReplyDeleteoh yes
DeleteI am working at the moment, with a lot of figures to paint!
ReplyDeleteI'm going full bore to finish a batch of figures before heading off to the Shire (New Hampshire) tomorrow for Christmas. Will I make it, or will I fail ignobly and have to finish them upon my return? We shall see...
