From PeterA: The Last Hurrah - (a few) more 20mm WWII Germans (59 Points)

The last few weeks have been a total washout in terms of getting anything finished (real life has intervened with a bang and this is getting posted before I leave work having just finished Parents' Evening!) and so regrettably I am going to fall short of my target (hangs head in shame). Never mind, it has been an absolute blast and I would just like to say a massive and heartfelt thank you to all who have made my first AHPC such an enjoyable, welcoming, inspiring and all round brilliant experience. Thanks also to Lee for being such a great Minion and of course a MASSIVE thank you to the Snow Lord himself for organising and running the whole fabulous event - thank you Curt!

So my final entry is a few more 20mm Germans for WW2. First is a Kubelwagen for my SS - the crew are all AB and their ride is Britannia (showing its age, but cheap as chips). Then we have an officer and his NCO, followed by 6 of a section (the LMG team did not get based in time to make it). All AB sculpts - lovely figures.

So 44 points for the figures but I feel a bit of a fraud claiming 15 points for the tiny Kubel so reckon 7 is about right, making a final tally of 59.

Thanks again and best wishes to all - happy trails!

Great looking WWII Germans Peter. As you say, the AB sculpts for this range are just terrific and your brushwork certainly gives them justice. And who doesn't like a nice Kubel, such a handly little runabout - great for nabbing poor resistance fighters between dropping off the kids at school and picking up some groceries.

Delighted to have you with us this year Peter. Don't be a stranger and keep an eye open for the next edition.

- Curt
