Well, it's been another great AHPC. I set myself a target of 1300 points, but hit that with about a month to go. I increased it to 1700 points and sailed through that with two posts still to go. I'm very pleased with my final tally of 1,815.7 points, particularly as it's all been achieved without hitting the
Quadrant map for bonus points. I did get a few (21.5) bonus points along the way, so my actual total for figures and terrain was 1,794.2 points - if I'd just managed one more Judge Dredd figure or vehicle...
I also had great fun writing Oscar's time travel tales and "Operation Rescue Oscar", even though it did cause me to purchase a few extra figures and vehicles!
It was also a pleasure to be one of the Minion crew once again, especially as Team Tuesday included not just our other two ladies (Lady Sarah and Tasha) but also our youngest participant (Arthur). It's been great to see their painting skills develop over the last three months.

Your narrative to tie all your posts together was a nice touch Tamsin. Your output of models and terrain was very impressive, well done on another great challenge. I just hope that poor Oscar doesn't suffer the canine equivalent of PTSD after his adventure.

DeleteYou had a fabulous Challenge this year Tamsin! Of course I loved the Chronicles of Oscar, but I also very much enjoyed seeing your work in so many genres. Wonderful work!

Thanks, Padre! I'd only fill up the mansion with more painted and unpainted lead/plastic/resin/MDF and the energy bills would be rather too high, I fear! :)

DeleteThat is a lot of terrain to store, Tamsin! And quite a lot of stories, too. I guess you could have painted a few models more with shorter stories, but that wouldn't have been that fun? :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you kept me waiting for those Hasslefree fly crew models for almost three months, and then they did not appeared at all! :D I thought they would pop during the rescue mission, but may be next time. ;)
It is quite a lot of terrain to store. If I'd just focused on projects, rather than the stories I probably would have got a lot more figures painted, but the stories were fun to write and people seemed to enjoy them, so I'm glad I went that route.
DeleteSorry about the flight crew - I just had too many other things to do and couldn't fit them in.
The stories were nice, I liked them, too. I could have scored more points, but I went squirrel hunting and spent time to figure out how to score squirrels and visit planets without buying new minis.

Well done Tamsin, quite a points tally especially as you were a Minion at the same time...no idea how you find the time! As in my usual MO I have been lurking in the background and enjoying your posts. Now as for space, I've said it for some time, if Wargamers could benefit from one sci-fi invention it would be access to Time Lord technology!

DeleteFab work Tamsin! Not sure how you managed to get that many points and be a minion at the same time. My painted really suffered when I did a stint as a minion.
