From IanW - 15mm Roman Slinger's (16 Points)

Just a few points worth to get the ball rolling. The first of the support troops for the Legion's, these being eight Slinger's and rather basic are they.

As such they were quick to paint with a basic white uniform and a blue trim but also a small covering of chainmail on the shoulders.

The shields are fairly basic after I gave up on trying to paint the greyhound! They have a rather large sword by their side but I doubt I will be relying on them in hand to hand combat.

These were a welcome quick paint before going into a few more time consuming entries. So 2 points each is an easy 16 points, nothing to scare Tamsin with unfortunately.

From Curt:For a quick paint they are great entry. The green-faced shields turn an otherwise bland unit into something much more interesting. Good job.

  3. Not bad at all! They'll definitely come in handy when softening up your enemy before striking with the full force of your legions.

  4. Good place to start. Skirmishers are great in almost any rule set worth playing. These will stand out nicely. Well done.

    1. I under coated in white then painted white over the primer. I use the Vallejo whites which seem to cover well
