This time it is 9 medium bomber that may look familiar. Yes, these are German Ju-86 bombers that the Swedish bought between 1937 and 1938.
The Swedish had a total of 56 of these aircraft by the end of the War. The Swedish
government purchased a total of 16 aircraft from the Germans and then SAAB
produced the other 40 that were required by the Swedish military. SAAB
had a license to produce the Ju-86 for the Swedish Military and they were named
the B3 bombers.
I hope you all have a good weekend and a Happy New Year!!
Skål!!!

Another interesting and beautifully realized unit of Swedish aircraft. You impress us again with your clean and precise brushwork, Mark. I must admit I find the camouflage kind of jarring when seen on Ju-86s, as one expects the classic Luftwaffe grey-green. They are very pretty though - well done.
SAAB produced german bombers? Wow, the things you learn in the Challenge, eh?
Skål Mark!

ReplyDeleteI like the camouflage blending in with the ground, but I find the blue base a little jarring.
