ChrisW's Challenge

With his enormous points-bombs, Chris W has been keeping us all astounded at his output over the past several weeks and is now ready to plunge headlong towards the Challenge XII Hub and enter the Snowlord's secret space lair.

To do so, he has to undergo a trial of suitable epic proportions. Given that he has massively depleted his mountain of lead and has been forced to resort to building terrain, I think I have a highly appropriate task for him.

So, Chris, what you must do is to build us a stupidly, bonkersly, improbably, ginormously, titanically huge...

...mountain!

Of course, we all look forward to seeing you complete that task!

    1. I must say that I'm surprised to see you commenting here, Simon, considering your comment about the Challenge on my blog back in December that you "...tend not to read any blogs involving the challenge. To quite a lot of us it’s pretty boring.". There again, your comment here is rather snide so it fits your usual pattern.

    2. Clicked on it by mistake to be honest. This time wondered if anyone would comment as well. I must say it is all still very boring from the little I have seen. That’s my opinion only though of course.

    3. I find most of the posts on the Challenge quite inspirational, different people painting different minis and projects, showing different paint schemes and such like. It also gives me positive pressure to paint my minis and gives me focus rather than browsing the internet and buying more minis to my todo pile. Of course it is also about some friendly bragging and show off. :) But little I know, this is basically the only blog I follow (and contribute).

  2. So Chris just built the Kraag, which is basically a mountain, and now you ask him to build another mountain? :)
Good luck with the Challenge, Chris!

  3. Best of luck with the mountain, that sounds like a fun 'little' project.

  4. Just to be clear is a second mountain that Chris is to complete, in addition to the Kraag that he just posted? Or is the Kraag his final challenge and the order of posting was off?
I confuse easily so clarification would be beneficial to the old and dottering among us. Also the bun fight with Mr Grumpyguts (who p*shed on his Cornflakes anyway) didn’t help much.

    1. It's another mountain, a much bigger one from the looks of his draft post. :)

  5. Yes another mountain project, bigger than the Kraag!
Against my better judgement I have boldly let slip my vision/plans, this rarely works out for me...I am trusting in the positive pressure of the challenge (and fear of humiliation should I fail) to complete so public a project a project that I really want to build. :)

    Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Also I have been inspired to paint up some special figures to populate the build, thanks. Unanticipated squirrel points!
