From IanS: 6mm Russian Napoleonic (123 points)

Still with the 6mm Russian Napoleonic theme this week, and hopefully the pictures will be of better quality.

First up the last Battalion for the 10th Division, this gives me 8 Battalions for this division.

Some how i attract unwanted figures and was presented with a box of around 500 plus Russian Napoleonic models from Adler.  They have come in handy for the skirmishers and generals.

Three bases of Skirmishers for the Jager Brigade. Each base has 8 figures.

Generals, first up the three brigade commanders.

Then the Man himself General Lieven 3rd commander of the 10th Division.

Now for the attached Artillery Battery, these figures are resin prints from MS.  Each Battery has 6 guns plus crew and bases of limbered guns to represent the battery moving.

First up the guns:

These resin prints are at times a bit brittle but they do give casualty figures.

Limbers

And now a panoramic view of the 10th Division.  This Division is just over 800 figures so only another 3200 to go.

So i would like to claim the following:

Russian Infantry Battalion - 96,  6mm Foot figures = 48pts

Russian Skirmishers - 24, 6mm Foot figures = 12pts

Generals - 9, 6mm mounted figures = 9 pts

Guns - 6 guns and 36 6mm Foot figures = 24pts

Limbers - 6 guns, 6 limbers, 12 Mounted figures and 12 Horses = 30pts

So Total to Claim 123pts

Those photos are definitely better - you can see the colours more than when they were on the bare table; it might be worth trying to photograph them on black paper/card next time. Lovely work on the wee chaps!

  1. Great work here. Mainly in the sheer determination to not give up on the sheer numbers involved!

  2. Tell me about it. Have been doing 15mm romans at the same time to vary the painting. Just waiting on shield decals so i can post them .

  5. Wow, Ian! I am still nervous in painting a couple 28mm napoleonic troops, and here your are plopping out scores in the wee lad mm. The detail you did on them is excellent!
