Next up are a DAK Afrika Schwere Panzer Platoon including Tigers and Panzer III N, and a Panzer III wreck in the desert painted to look weathered from the hot Africa desert campaign.

Lovely DAK armour here Steve, The weathering is excellent, I'm most impressed because it's an art I've yet to master. They definitely have the grubby, worn look of vehicles that have been battling away in the desert for some time, and I like the wear through to the red primer on the Tiger.
Five tanks counting the wreck for a neat 30 points.

ReplyDeleteNice tanks. Too heavy and powerful for my personal taste, but nice none the less.
DeleteGreat looking Afrika Korps tanks. I can see a full on Blitz is under way!
ReplyDeleteReally nice weathering on these Steve.
ReplyDeleteGreat detail on these!
ReplyDeleteTerrific job on weathering these panzers. I especially like the grey peeking through where the markings are. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteLovely wreck and weathering on these! :)
ReplyDelete(and I avoided saying "Nice tanks!"...oh, drat - now I have said it!)
Well executed weathering .. good stuff
ReplyDeleteGood grief yet more fantastic work. These look like 28's or bigger still

Steve you must be the king of 15mm armour! Another excellent tank squadron!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the contrast between the two types of tanks. Weathering exceptional as always.
ReplyDeleteThe wreck is lovely, it already looks like the sand of the desert is reclaiming it.
Well done on these Steve and the weathering really worked out!

This Blitz is only missing some stukkas and mech infantry! Lots of great details in the weathering and that wreck is very outstanding too!
