It's Thursday!
I'm rather glad as work and military duties have almost exceeded my capacity for family and painting. I'm not too worried as sleep is optional till sometime in the Spring.
It has seemed like Spring here of late, but I know that won't last!
Thursday had 15 posts last week, let's see if we can't top that this week!
I see some posts are already in the queue. Last week I had some issues with cutting and pasting the scores on the blog, I suspect that the spreadsheet is a wicked, vile beast that I've yet to stomp into submission.
No matter, I have cleansed my laptop from PVA glue from last week's attempt. This week I'll try some gorilla glue when cutting and pasting the score tallies, that should do it proper.
BTW-
Last year I had complained that GW had discontinued the texture paints including my new favorite Stirland Mud. Apparently they did, but it was only to bring them back in larger bottles including Nuln Oil in the larger size. Since I did use two whole pots of the mud and one whole pot of Nuln Oil; it was a pretty good thing they upped the size.
GW does enough to irritate gamers without erroneous news being tossed around, it's not like they are going to nerf 40k with AoS type shenanigans, Right!? ;)
'Spreadsheet...stomp into submission'?! Good lord, Miles is going to have a bird... ;)
ReplyDeleteMy word - I didn't realise that Miles was gestating. Having a bird you say? How peculiar! ;)
DeleteHave a good one Dave. Fear not, you too can learn the dark arts of spreadsheets,
ReplyDeleteLook for two small posts from me today, one this am and one later on.
1) When cutting and pasting it's important to follow up with a hammer and a few nails - it's the only way to be sure. You may be alarmed by the sound of cracking glass and even few electrical sparks - don't worry it's a normal part of the process.
ReplyDelete2) Do not threaten the spreadsheet - it may hear you and react defensively. Trust me, a spreadsheet is far more deadlier to you than you to it. I give you the financial crisis of 2008 - all due to a knuckle head loan processor in KC that said some rather off color and illegal in 27 states comments to his Excel loan application input spreadsheet.
3) I have produced no new offspring from the trials the tribulations of spreadsheet usage. On the other hand, I have developed very concerning thoughts about the ability of our species to remain the dominant one on the planet.
If my pro-creation status changes you'll find out via the cover of the National Enquirer and/or the Guardian.
1) 9" nails, carpet tacks, or something in between?
Delete2) it appears the spreadsheet has already jabbed me first as it vanished a couple submitted posts from last week...I think I heard it giggling which can't be a good sign.
3) I believe I have some military ointment that could fix that issue, but there may be side effects like a burning sensation that increases if you are exposed to direct sunlight....
Could have been worse .. it could have been PowerPoint,,
ReplyDeleteOh gawd no! ....the horror!
DeleteUnfortunately Dave, that is exactly where they are going with 40k v8....AoS levels of crappiness incoming...
ReplyDeleteI refuse to rebase my armies! My kids ARE less intimidated by AoS. I'm displeased with units being dropped and the fantasy"marines". It seems it could've been done a little better.
DeleteI am concerned with 40k, but that may be because Cadia is dust now, I'll have to wait and see how it all comes down before griping.
40k already has the great intro "combat patrol".
My first post is up and ready to go Dave, with the second to follow.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd prefer not to learn anything else about Miles reproductive habits.
All good, Peter!
DeleteI'll check up on your other post throughout the day.
It is there now ready to go.
DeletePeter - given your statements above, it's best if you don't look at my next post...
