More survivors from the post apocalypse for me today......

“They came out from the East. We didn’t think there was anything out there anymore. The only thing that had been out there in the World-That-Was times was that government base. Well, people said it was a government base anyways, there were checkpoints and military police all around the chain link fence that kept everyone out. It got pretty hard early on too, so there must have been something the enemy didn’t like out there. Guess these people must have been pretty deep underground to survive it......”

Five survivors (or 4 plus their loveable robot companion anyway) from one of the more technological factions from the now defunct Eden universe from Taban miniatures.

I gave them the same colour outfits, perhaps a uniform for whatever super-secret agency they worked for before The Event? They have batteries on their backs and their kit is all wired up.

“This one was pretty chatty. Chelsea she said her name was. She was pretty cagey about where they were staying though so we’re none the wiser about whether they are from that base.”

“Bella she introduced herself as. She seemed to be the leader and did most of the trading. We got a coffee machine with solar panels for running it! Just need to source some coffee from somewhere now.....”

“Kylie looked pretty mean. She didn’t want to talk and just fiddled with that nasty looking gun the whole time....”

“I don’t know what had happened to this guy. Seemed his legs had been replaced but the rest of the stuff was strapped on. Just weird. He didn’t say a word, just stood there looking imposing. Scared the bejezzus out of me....”

 

“This little thing just scooted around beeping. No idea what it was trying to do..... still, felt like a profitable trade in the end for all of us, but they weren’t interested in staying in our little community. Maybe we’ll have to pay them a visit sometime if they are in that base to see what else we can liberate from them?”

So that’s 5 40mm figures for a nice 35 point bump in my scoring total.
