From Gary Amos: AB 18mm Prussian Napoleonic Infantry (72pts) and Baker Company 28mm VC Local Force (35pts)

Just sliding in before the final whistle. First off Prussian IR N0. 35 Prinz Heinrch (36x2=72 pts).  Flags deliberately incorrectly positioned to conform to the rest of the division and, thank God, the last of the musketeer regiments:

Followed by Local Force VC which have nothing to do with anything other than a stalled Vietnnam project which I began about 20 years ago or so:

And that's it from this den of iniquity.

    1. Thaks, but the VC were a bit of a last minute rush job brought on by Dave Docherty's Vietnam onslaught. I was actually spposed to be knocking some woodland bases together - managed two ;O)

    1. Nope, fed up with 'em. I'm a shako man, which is unfortuate as, once I've knockekd off the bicorne wearing cavary and artillery, I ought to get stuck into some Bavarians.

    1. To be honest, I only intended to post the Prussians and though I had. I did the VC while I was dodging the Engand match (too painful) and supposedly completing the census online. Imagine my surprise when I realised I hadn't posted anything. Klutz!

    1. Thanks. The VC were a meander while I was supposed to be otherwise engaged (see above). I'm quite happy with them, but I think I'll take more time with the next lot.

    1. Thanks. I'll have to do an update on the blog and don the notes on the Prussians as I intended. I've been meaning to get round to it, but home schooling, child minding and being an all round good egg delayed things.

  8. Nice work. I love the theory on the misplaced flags.

    1. Blimey, just seen this!

Yeah, even though I 'knew' the correct positioning foro the flags, I just banged them on the bases as normal. To quote a chap on another group:"The Avancierfahne (white one for the first battalion, also known as Leibfahne) was carried in the front rank. The Retirierfahne, or Regimentsfahne (the coloured flag) was carried in the third rank. So the first battalion carried a white flag and a coloured flag, the second battalion carried two coloured flags, in both cases assisted by NCOs with half-pike."

So, the up shot is that, as the other units had this configuration, they're all having it as I've no intention of messing around with bases. I don't even like basing!
