From Barks: The Real Snowlord and his Minions (272 points)

Those Canadians who think they know winter... ah, my sweet summer children, let me tell you of the real Snowlord and his Minions, who only attack when the snow lies thick on the ground like PVA glue mixed with bicarbonated soda...

This is my final entry for AHPC VII, it's been great fun. These are (now unavailable) Revenants from Gripping Beast led by a Draugr from Elladan.

The Revenants were great fun sculpts on which I could slap off a quick drybrushed paint job and then add gore. I wasn't too sure if I'd overdone the glowing eyes, but I'm not unhappy with the final effect.

The Draugr is a superb sculpt, very detailed and a bit fiddly to get the arms on. The chain reins are held together by superglue and undercoat... The horse has been a bit overworked and could do with a lie down.

The Revenants come with two Grave Pits, that are markers for Saga whereby you offer your mortal opponent the option for you to move extra foot units, or the unkillable grave marker. When the grave pit reaches the living, out pop more hungry zombies... I put them on 60mm Renedra bases.

The snow is bicarb soda mixed with PVA glue, and a sprinkling of Secret Weapon crushed glass.

Thanks for the ride, see you next year!

Tamsin: lovely work Barks and what a frightening bunch. I'm not sure I like the sound of those Grave Pits - that's a pretty dirty trick to have for playing on your opponent!

Let's see, that's 48 foot figures, 1 mounted and the Grave Pits (I think I'll score those as 2 figures each). That should give you 270 points, but I'm going to give you a couple more as "danger pay" for comparing Curt and the (other) minions to a bunch of flesh-eating, spine-chilling zombies ;)

I really like the fellow on horseback! That mount is scary creepy with the exposed bone!
