The riders were done just like my horde of other Hoth Rebels - Rakarth Flesh for the caps and sleeves, Steel Legion Drab for the pants, Mournfang Brown/Skrag Brown for the vests, and XV-88 for the boots. The whole mess is washed with Agrax then highlighted back up.
I'm taking these lads over to Coruscant for the Good/Evil theme - of course Coruscant is the capital city of the Galactic Empire in the Star Wars universe, so these good guys from Star Wars should corral the points bonus nicely.
Points:
2x 40mm (?) mounted models = 28 points
Coruscant bonus = 20 points
One more post and that'll be it!

Oh man, these are so cool (literally)! Terrific work Dallas. I love the muted tones on their uniforms and tack, and you've done a great job on the snow as well. Really, they look like movie stills from the set of 'Empire'.
Great work!

These look great. You've really got the colour schemes spot on.
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Dallas! :)
ReplyDeleteNice beast and riders Dallas
ReplyDeleteWell done! Your snow basing is excellent.
ReplyDeleteTerrific painting Dallas- you have really captured the look from the movie.
ReplyDeleteYou had me at "Coming in hot" should have been Hoth of course but hey they look awesome either way. Oh and you know what they say on the temperature of the insides of a Taun-taun right? Yeah it's Luke-warm :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome work dude - they look great! I love that cross-saddle shot pose in particular...
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Dallas! They really look menacing.
ReplyDeleteAlso, in the Star Wars Legion rules, the Taun Tauns themselves hit like a ton of bricks in melee combat.
Great, absolutely great! The colours are spot on, they look exactly how I think they should look! Hats off, Dallas!
ReplyDeleteFantastic work, Dallas!
