From ClintB - 28mm Rusty Necrons (25 points)

Yep nothing so exciting,
Just 5 more rusty Necrons.
Nothing special and not any real difference
From what I showed last week.

 Just the left 2

Then the right 2.
Not a lot more to say.
Easy to paint while I get on with other things
And I am getting on with other things.
A lot more started.
But not as yet ready to be seen!

Gadzooks! Posting your blurb in poetic form on a Tuesday? That's just not on Clint! This is a painting challenge, not some versification exercise! Another five rusty rusties - that'll be 25 points.

  1. What about the middle one? Where is his close up? He'll get a complex you know...... Looking good though!

    1. Thank you Jamie, The middle one is in Witness protection and did not want his picture taken for reasons of his own safety!

    1. Thank you Chris. It is a simple "Tin Bitz" base colour (after priming) a dry brush of "Boltgun metal" and then a coat of rust over the top.

  3. Thank you Tamsin. I assure you it is not in prose or rhyme or anything at all lyrical. It is not poetry at all. I always place the pictures on the right and the writing on the left and throughout the challenge you have altered it to all be centred. So I was just trying to make your job easier. Clearly as a plan that has failed and been misunderstood.
No big deal to me of course and I do thank you for the kind words. But POETRY was never the plan for me.

The secret's out Clint; too late to try to deny it. I wasn't sure if it was deliberate until I read it aloud.

You are hereby pronounced poet laureate of the Challenge

    2. Thank you Fair maiden. I will not be accused of protesting too much unless someone eats all my chocolate! (Clint does not share chocolate!)

  4. Those guys look mean and the bright neon of the guns realy contrasts with the metal.

    1. Thank you Adam. As the normal GW gun rods are bright green this just keeps them all consistent if/when I get some more from a different source.

    1. Thank you Ray. Not your bag I know, but until I get a something else to paint they will do! No I do not need to paint yours unless you want to pay me of course then I would be delighted to paint your figures.

    2. Cheeky git! Do you know what because I like you I will paint a figure for you free. But I get to choose the figure! I Can't say fairer than that!

  7. Nice work on these fellows Clint - the "rusty" approach is excellent.

    1. Thank you Greg. Some people say that science would have progressed so far as to get rid of rust. Well we have not so far so I will keep on being rusty.

    1. Thank you Peter. I only got these figures to get a game with my nephew as he likes 40K. Last night he has told me he wants a game with muskets! (Not sure what time period but gonna start him on WSS)

    1. And I would say not so much of the poetry next time... But not sure this qualified! ;/-)

    2. Thanks Dave. I do not think this is poetry at all. It is just a reaction to the way Tamsin lays out my posts and I thought I was making her life easier by doing it this way. So now I will revert to my old way and let her change them as she sees fit. Less work for me and more for her. No skin of my nose at all.

    3. Clint - I'm just editing them in line with the style guide laid down by his Snowlordness when I edit your posts :)

As for the poetry, keep it up, but maybe less melancholic next time ;)

    4. Not a complaint about you at all Tamsin. Edit as you see fit. And I likewise will post as I see fit and expect you to change it. No worries mate.

  11. That's almost an Haiku there Clint ;-) anyway the Necrons are very well done, they always scared the cr*p out of me on the table and these do look suitably menacing!

  12. Nice work on the decrepit crypt dwellers, Clint! I suppose they have a TLC needing monolith lurking about too. HMMM, maybe it's still in the catacombs spilling oil! ;)

    1. Thanks David I have no vehicles or heavy weapons for them just yet. I am stating small and going slow. But If I do find a cheap monolith I would get one.
