Just a short note to remind all those who are considering joining the Painting Challenge to contact me soon as there are only a few slots left.
Avoid disappointment - don't delay!
Welcome to the Painting Challenge. Here you will find the fabulous, fevered work of miniature painters from around the world. While participants come from every ethnicity, gender, age and nationality, they have three things in common: they love miniatures, they enjoy a supportive community, and they want to set themselves against the Challenge. This site features the current year's event along with the archives of past Painting Challenges. Enjoy your visit and remember to come back soon.

And talking about Sandbagging has reminded me of a bit of terrain I could paint
We should have most from last year but I'll see about getting information from the new folks to the Challenge.
DeleteLots of prep done, but have I bought the bases? ;-)
ReplyDeleteIan
One question on prep
ReplyDeletecan you base the figures and do some ground work before the challenge or is that only to be done during the challenge.
I have a few guns I plan to paint during the challenge and I could have the baseing almost finished before adding paint but I think this is pushing prep beyond the bounds so thought I would ask
Ian
I usually base and put on my texture gel medium before priming, but completely based before the Challenge? I'm thinking that may push the boundaries, especially if you are in a duel with someone pertaining to those figures.
DeleteThanks for the quick answer Curt. Am not in a dual for these (15mm SYW) but I think same standard should be kept in either case so will not do the bases :-)
