We have our Century - The Participant Roster for the Seventh Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge

Just replace the pilums with brushes and you get the idea...

The participant roster is now closed.

Below you will find the list of the Challenge's 100 participants, along with their targets.

Keeping within the theme of teamwork and cooperation, I'm delighted to have several Father/Son and Father/Daughter teams participating. In fact, there is an entire group of siblings participating with their dad (well done DaveB)! I'll point these folks out later, but I can say right now that I think this is terrific - it really brings something special to the event.

In the coming weeks I plan to update this list which to include any blogs associated with the participants. Please check back later.

Also, in a few days I will announce this year's Challenge prize sponsors, DaveD will bring you all up to speed on some of the great social media venues that are available to Challenge participants and Millsy will continue to update the Duels page.

Until then, let's get back to cleaning and priming!

  2. Wow 100 participants - I project some record breaking statistics with this challenge

Isn't that why we really do this - for the stats!

    3. I crunch numbers all day at work - do you honestly think I want to take my work home?

    4. And all those parental/sibling relationships open up whole new levels of analysis too!!!

    5. I do like a good statistical table myself, especially if accompanied by a graph.

    6. You're just all jealous of the stats crazy groupies that follow us statisticians around.

      'Stat-Life' indeed

  4. As no one ever likes wisenheimers ( had to look that one up, do you guys really say wisenheimers for smart-arses?) I certainly won't point out that a Roman Century never consisted of 100 men... no chance Sir, I won't say as much... never ;-)
Besides of that I won't mention the small clerical error too, which obviously has crept into my name on that list.
As I, quite obviously, failed to say anything at all yet, I will make up for it by stating my growing anticipation of what will no doubt be another rememberable undertaking.

    1. Yes Nick, 'wisenheimer' is a word and you've provided a perfect example. :0)

      (Clerical error noted and changed!)

  6. 100 - great stuff, the Challenge continues to grow :)

I checked the list once, I checked the list twice and it does seem that my target is indeed the highest. Now I've got to achieve it :)

    1. Actually m'dear, I think it's time for you to plan your assault to the top of the roster this year. I know you can do it. :)

    2. Well, I think Dave's 2500 point target is just for the first month and will be increased several times during the Challenge.

As for me topping the table, I think that's going to be too much of a push with the figures I have planned for painting and without any planned time off work [apart from Xmas to new Year] but I do appreciate your confidence in my abilities :)

    3. You can do it - throw caution (and paint) to the wind

The view from the top is very nice, indeed.

    4. I set myself the 1000 as I have not painted much over the last few years but you know if the bug bites my uotput might increase :)

  12. Hmmm, just had a thought - if there had been one more inmate, Curt would have had to put himself into Room 101...

  13. 100! Well now that is indeed quite a few that will be hitting the brushes this year and who knows maybe this year I'll get into the top 30 or 40!

  16. An impressive array of painters wait to start in 15 days. Most of the prep here is done and some 20mm WW2 British vehicles were undercoated at the weekend.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's efforts this challenge.

    Cheers, Ross

  17. Very cool. I have prepped about 30 LOTR/WFB figures. Prepping is my least favorite part. So, I'm already feeling like this has been awesome productivity!

I presume that #87 is me? Could you change it to StefanK eventually?

  19. Sorry Stefan your email came through as Stefan Monty and I couldn't remember your last name off hand. We'll get it changed soon.

  20. I'm back in this year after taking a break. We'll see what size dent can be put into the miniature pile (or is it a mountain..).
