I am contining to grind away at the 15th Light Dragoons, with another 4 figures for this post. There are 4 28mm cavalrymen for 40 points, a typical week for me recently or the output from a MilesR coffee break. As with the previous Light Dragoons these are Perry Miniatures from the AWI range.

My challenge progress has been slow of late. A busy work schedule and a bug of some sort. However, it's break week at Uni so some staycation time is allowing me to catch up on marking, sleep and painting.

I hope you recover from your bug before your time off concludes,Peter! It is entirely unfair to be strickened with germs while having free time!
I quite like these dragoons and it's nice to see the 15th are getting further reinforcements. I also quite like these Perry sculpts. It's a shame they don't fit too well in my theatre of operations, as I'd like to steal those horses! :)
Nicely painted Dragoons! Too bad you can't devote the whole "reading week" to painting.
ReplyDeleteMerci Sylvain. Unfortunately there are other demands on my time this week.
DeleteFine Work Peter
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam
DeleteThanks for the kind words David. The bug is on it's way out and seems to be related to allergies from early spring melt off (Regina smells like rotting vegetables this week). The Perry horses are nice.
ReplyDeleteThe perils of working in a university - students, the harbingers and carriers of various plagues sent to afflict those who work to educate and support them! ;)
ReplyDeleteNice work on the dragoons :)
Thanks Tamsin. My students are no where near as toxic as preschoolers.
DeleteGreat work Peter - enjoy the break.
ReplyDeleteThanks Geeg
DeleteGreat stuff, those horses look spiffing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jamie. They do horses well this Perrys.
DeleteNice work Peter!
ReplyDeleteCheers Rod
DeleteVery nice indeed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sander
DeleteGreat work Peter. This unit is fleshing out very nicely. Never been a fan of that blunt-faced early dragoon helmet, but that's what they wore, so there it is. I look forward to seeing them on the table in the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks Curt. I like the early helmet with the falling plumes and front plate, to me it's rather elegant. Much preferred over the Tarleton which looks just goofy IMHO.
DeleteYeah, I agree with you on the goofy Tarlton, but they all look kinda half-baked to me. Personally, I prefer the cavalry that wore the good ole bicorne/tricorne. Now those were hats a man could take pride in! :)
DeleteWell you always do have a sharp eye for fashions.
DeleteLovely looking dragoons, fine work on nice sculpts.
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Cheers Iain
DeleteGood work!
