Light tank for Gruntz. |
The 46 is, schockingly, a decal, not free hand. |
Orange is Rhys' favorite color, so it had to be worked into the scheme. |
The new model on the right. |
From Curt:What a great reward for getting good marks! I really like the effect of the white base colour with the sepia wash, and the blue detail stripe sets it all off nicely. Rhys must be delighted with it. Well done!
Another nice entry, and a great way to ensure your lad works hard at school.
ReplyDeleteThank you. He often needs a reminder to help him through his days.
DeleteIt's always nice to see gamers sharing this hobby with their children. A very nice entry!
ReplyDeleteMy wife is horrified but there's really no helping it.
DeleteYou are a great Gamer Dad, good on you
ReplyDeleteThe tanks are very nice too!
Thanks Paul. I do love sharing the hobby with them. There's so much that is great about what we do.
DeleteLovely little entry and a nice sentimental touch as well. Hopefully your son will treasure this in the years to come... and blow up plenty of his opponent's models at the same time :-)
ReplyDeleteHe's developing quite the eclectic collection. (say that quickly five times). He does love a good game of Gruntz, and killing my models.
DeleteThese vehicles have an early 1970's 'Analog' magazine vibe about them, very nostalgic colour palette - very nice work indeed!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the fact that in sci/fi you can do whatever you want. My 15mm armies tend to be more realistic camouflage but both of the boys wanted something brighter and more fun.
DeleteIt's nice to have a reward for good school work/behaviour. I wish I had such a bonus. Nice tank made even more so as it is a reward.
ReplyDeleteI work better when there is something in it for me. It seems that the child is the same way.
DeleteGreat idea and a fine reward, well done
ReplyDeleteThank you Dave.
DeleteVery nice and finely painted model. Great reward.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYour sons a lucky chap
ReplyDeleteIan
A carrot always works better than a stick! Sharp looking tank, and as a Star Wars fan, I can see the imperial vibe! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe sepia wash worked very well on the white!
Extra marks for being a good dad.
ReplyDeleteVery nice job and a fine paint scheme. It's a very convincing APC, looks a lot like a British Warrior, just brought slightly into the future. Nice.
Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of seeing all the British Army armour, painted in UN peacekeeping colours in the late 90's, as I went to and from school on the Garrison.
