British and Canadian Cavalry contigent 1812 - 64pts

Hi

Have not posted for awhile as have been busy at work, I work for the NHS so you can imagine the workload, in addition i had to self isolate as ill although covid test was negative.  On with the painting.

Have now nearly got to the end of this army so just a few odds and sods to do.  The cavalry contigent for this army is small compared to most napoleonic arnies and will only contain two small units.  The rules we use at the club for napoleonic gaming are a home grow set written by one of the mainstays Tim called Bonnie.

Cavalry units are based on DBA sized bases and can be in one of three sized units

Small - 2 to 3 bases

Medium - 4 which tend to be the norm

Large - 5 to 6

Each base has usually 3 figures or if tribal/irregular 2.

All the figures are from Lancashire Minatures a great company who will even do samples to help you with the choice of figure.  The figures are all single casting which i like as i always seem to loose riders.

The first regiment is the 19th light dragoons - 8 figures so 32pts

The second regiment is a generic Canadian Light Dragoon - 8 figs so 32pts

  6. Yellow is a real pain to get the brightness so all areas are first done in white as a good base.
