Hello Challengers,
For the theme of Ambition, I give you an Warhammer Fantasy Orc Warlord on Wyvern. Orc warlords are bent on conquest, with a driving ambition to become someone in their short brutal lifetimes.
A few months ago I was given a painted 4th edition Warhammer Fantasy Battle army. Lots of goblins and squigs, but leaderless. This I purchased from GW, as it is now available again due to the release of the old world.
Points,
One 28mm vehicle (Wyvern) 20 points
One 28mm rider 5 points
Ambition theme 20 points.
Kind Regards
Geoff.
From Millsy:
This model is an old favourite of mine and I have one in my collection with a very similar paint scheme although I have pale skin on the wings. The green just seems to suit a wyvern so well right?
Super brushwork picking out all scales, wrinkles and folds in the skin. You've really nailed the big lizard vibe on this beastie. He'll strike terror into whatever he faces across the table I am sure.
45 more points for your tally mate. I have no idea what you'll do next which is great!
Cheers,
Millsy

ReplyDeleteWonderful painting on the dragon scales.
ReplyDeleteAn ork and goblin army as a gift?! You're a very lucky fellow Geoff. But you are also very talented with the brush as that Wyvern is fabulous - such an iconic model and done-up so well. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteGreat work on a wonderful miniature!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work Geoff and wonderful model. I too have one in my green skin collection. I did mine in red, but love the green of yours.
ReplyDeleteNic work and a great figure
ReplyDeleteWell Done! Your entry is a great gust of greens that could have been found between the pages of a 90's issue White Dwarf.
ReplyDeleteNice job on this
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great old school treasure and your painting really enhances the miniature!
