He is from the Warhammer Quest Silver Tower expansion, I don't have the game, but it has some great heroes for my armies.
On purpose, he has some Nurgle green and Khorne red on his armor, only a Tzeentch wizard could be so tricky. It might be a hint of coming additions for the army...
It was surprisingly quick to paint him, although it has been some time since I have painted a single miniature, it has always been a half a squad or more, so painting just one was quite different.
Here he is on top of the Balewind Vortex, which I plan to use. If I remember correctly, it will double the range of the spells and make them easier to cast - among other things. Vortex was started before the Challenge, so no points from there.

That is a pretty darn cool mini, Teemu. I really like his orange legs and green carapace/armour - it really gives him a Hieronymus Bosch look about him. The horns are pretty ace as well (must be a real b*tch finding hats and getting into the shower in the morning).
That vortex platform thingy looks quite nifty. Not something you'd drag around to every extradimensional battlefield I suppose, but hey, this is Warhammer so I imagine it has some sort of Chaos/Thule roller case that it all fits into for road trips.
He looks like a tall lad so let's go with 7 points for a 40mm figure.
Great work!
Nice painting Teemu!
ReplyDeleteLovely finish on this tricky character!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain

ReplyDeleteStrange creature but very good looking model
ReplyDeleteLove the chicken legs! That’s a nice effect on the whirly thing as well.
ReplyDeleteNice work, Teemu! He is a riot of color which suits him well! I also like the colorful wind, almost like the winds of change personified!
ReplyDeleteVery cool indeed!
ReplyDeleteNice work on this guy!
ReplyDeleteWell done Teemu - that guy looks pretty messed up!
