Thank you Curt for organizing the event and thanks to all the minions who help make it run smoothly, and finally to all the
I am afraid that AHPC XIII ended in late January for me. I am happy to have succeed my goal by almost 50% . My best showing yet. Three weeks of antibiotics and a request to move after 25 years, put a damper on my grandiose plans. New housing has been secured and packing continues at a brisk speed. My miniature storage units have been dismantled and all the nicely organized boxes packed away in preparation of Der Tag.
Good luck with the move Rob.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pete. I had far less stuff when I first moved to Montreal.
DeleteHope the move goes well, Robert! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Tamsin, things are looking up even as the deadline approaches. We have our current apartment until the end of April and can start moving into the new one on the first. It is all rather boring considering what the July 1st moving day holds for Quebecers.
DeleteSorry to hear about your troubles, hopefully next year is better!
ReplyDeleteMerci Teemu. Neither was really bad as they could have been. Both consumed a lot of energy which and were rather stressful at the time. I indeed have great expectations for next year.
DeleteAll the best with the move, man - and congrats on busting your goal!
ReplyDeleteThank you Dallas. I had hoped to have reached 1000 points. I now have a goal for AHPC XIV
DeleteSorry to hear your news Rob. I must say you know how to stack a box.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray. Already got about 30 of them out of the house. Major donations happening as we clear 25 years of accumulated "stuff". It is an adventure
DeleteI'm sorry to hear of your winter travails, Rob. I hope the rest of the year goes better for you.
ReplyDeleteIt was not an unexpected event. We understood that work needs to be carried out on our current location and we are definitely looking forward to moving to a newly renovated apartment, within a new quartier to explore here in Montreal
DeleteI too am sorry to hear about your troubles, I hope the worst is over now and I’m sure you’ll be alright in the end. I really liked your Numidians!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to continued progress on the Numidians. I plan to order some Victrix Infantry to land at my new location when I do next month
DeleteSorry to hear you're having to move. Transportation of a miniature collection is always a precarious adventure. I enjoyed your LOTR posts this year and I loved your Elephants.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter. I will be continuing with my LOTR orcs this summer. I have located some more figures while searching through hidden boxes. And I also plan to complete an ADLG Numidian army. The elephants will have a secure future.
DeleteThanks everyone for your comments. After 25 years some downsizing has been required, and once installed on the other side I will take a serious look at what projects will be continued. However I have secured a gaming table for the new location, and I am not sure if the first game will be minis or the new version of Kingmaker.
ReplyDeleteNicely boxed, Rob!
ReplyDeleteIt is coming along. We can start transferring small stuff next week.
DeleteMoving is a drag Rob but your entries were awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's why I haven't done it in 25 years. Too much moving as a child
DeleteGood luck with the move, Rob! Excellent work on the LotR and I really liked the elephants! Rather than the stress just imagine you get the chance to really set up your hobby space....and find all those errant bits that bounced off your desk! ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you David, I'm already thinking about the next batch of orcs to paint
