From TamsinP: The Path Of Infinite Sorrows [World Cinema] (30 points)

"The Path Of Infinite Sorrows" is the title of a book about the Kokoda Trail and Buna-Gona-Sanananda campaigns in Papua New Guinea during WW2, but unusually focusing on the Japanese side.

I bought these figures from The Assault Group to bulk out a different order. I decided to base them individually on 50mm bases so that they can be used as more easily transportable jump off points for Chain of Command (the ones I did in AHPC XII aren't so easily transportable).

<<<adding back in the stuff that went missing>>>

I'm putting these forward for "World Cinema" as I'm not Japanese, nor am I from Papua New Guinea.

Just one studio left to go in the Green Pass zone...

For Scoring

4 x 28mm prone figures @ 2.5 = 10 points

1 x studio @ 20 = 20 points

Total = 30 points

<<<end of adding missing stuff back in>>>

Friday Minion: a bleak take on Jump-off Points here Tamsin, but will serve to keep your points ticking upwards. Half points for the prone figures is 10 for all four, plus the location bonus. Is the basing the old mixed herbs jungle debris trick?

Now where's that spaceship at?

Edit to reply - yes, it's the mixed herbs trick; spaceship will hopefully be next Friday - just bits to go with it to paint, plus decals and weathering on the exterior to do on the ship itself.

  4. That's weird - it seems that most of the post that I drafted and saved has disappeared (pics of the individual bases missing, map missing, a load of text).
    I'll edit the post to add them back in.

  8. Very grim markers, Tamsin. I do like the tones on the figures though and that basing is very evocative of jungle/ forest debris. Did you tint or paint the herbs or select for color? It is very nice basing!

    1. Thanks! I've been using the dried herbs on jungle bases for a long time - just right for leaf scatter. :)
