The Dacians are painted with a combination of Vallejo and GW paints, with the blood effect on the signature falx being GW Blood for the Blood God technical paint.
The halftrack will be joined shortly by its towee, an 88mm Flak/ATG which will be the central focus of my BA force.
The grass tufts on the Dacians are actually hand made by a mutual friend of mine and PaulOG, who very generously donated a veritable horde of different coloured and sized tufts completely free of charge. As thanks I will be incorporating the tufts in as many projects as I possibly can, as they look amazing and work exceptionally well on any base surface.
I think this is a modest 30pts to get me on the scoreboard.....
Paul and Alan: Good to see you get some runs on the board mate - it was like watching England bat in an Ashes test match...
Lovely Dacians and they are certainly in action packed poses. The tractor is nice too but I fear what it might be towing in future games! That is indeed 30 points lodged.

Nice work James. I really like that tractor.
ReplyDeleteNice debut James :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome Jams. Love the Dacians.
ReplyDeletewelcome along. a good start
ReplyDeleteGreat work James.
ReplyDeleteThe Dacians are super choppy! It takes a brave man to build a skirmish force around a heavy weapon like an 88, but you've certainly pimped its ride nicely.
ReplyDeleteSuper choppy is right! Great work James and welcome to the show!
ReplyDeleteTractor is really nice, the subtle weathering is ace
ReplyDeleteYou have me interested in the technical paint, I also like the tractor the best, nice touches
ReplyDeleteIan
Two lovely entries, James! I hope we get to see more of the Dacians, as they're a force I've been interested in collecting myself.
ReplyDeleteIn the words of a comrade from my re-enactment combat days, "Nothing says 'watch me' like a two-handed axe." The same applies to the ever-reliable falx! Good to see the Dacians getting some air time, they're one of the great might-have-beens of history.
ReplyDeleteThe tractor is great too!
Great work. Cheers
ReplyDeleteLook forwards to seeing more of the WW2 stuff!
ReplyDeletewelcome and thanks for sharing your mini's with us all!
ReplyDeleteSdkfz 11 (I am dyslexic so typing that is just as easy as anything else! I do know some NON dyslexics that would struggle though! ) is simply ACE. Dacians are also very good, But let's get back to the Prime mover...
ReplyDeleteThank you all for you kind comments! :-) rest assured you will be seeing more of the Dacians, and the Tractors True Love.....thanks again for the encouraging feedback
