Hi All,
OK so I am more than a little sidetracked by character figures at the moment...
This second entry of the week is a pair of "Battle Wizards" for my Warhammer Fantasy Battle Empire army. I really liked the fact these came in both a mounted and foot version.
Despite the fact I don't ever remember dismounting a figure during play it does at least give you options when list building - either using spare points to mount up or drop a few to dismount.
I let the sculpt drive my thinking in terms of colour scheme with this one. He's got stars and moons on his shoulders and what I envisaged as another moon on his staff so I went with blues, greys and black to represent the night sky and heavenly bodies (NO Ray, not those kinds of heavenly bodies). The cloak seemed a bit dull so I've jazzed it up with a blue and silver border replicating the stars and moons.
Very happy with how he turned out. He's likely to roll a miscast first time I use him and get sucked into a vortex but hey, that's how it is when you mess with the fundamentals of the universe while wearing a ridiculous blue skull cap. Whatever happens he's 15 points more on my tally.

This is a splendid character fig, Millsy, both on horseback and on shanks' pony.
As a member of the Celestial College, he stands a good chance of calling down some serious cosmic whup-ass on the enemies of the Empire, with the proviso (as you've correctly pointed out) that a miscast means he may end up disappearing up his own singularity... but that's half the fun, isn't it?
15 points for these well 'ard wizards!
