Hoi,
As you all must have noticed, we are now in the second half of the Challenge. So what, I hear you say! Well I am on the board for a total of 1500 points, while Arthur has surpassed his target of 50 points and wants me to ask Curt to up it to 100, I am not even halfway... Therefore I decided to finally tackle some of the 3d printed GI Joe vehicles lying around.
Let's start with the evil forces of Cobra, they are getting reinforced by 3 S.T.U.N.s. While not the most practical of vehicles, being open topped and all, they are iconic and much used in the Sunbow cartoon.
Next up are 3 GI Joe vehicles, the first of these is the Mauler Main Battle Tank. Neither me or my brother owned this piece of kit when young (we sure would have liked it since it was motorized) when it appeared on Thingiverse I couldn't resist.
Next up is the Joe-team's SPG the Slugger. The toy came in two versions one with and one without camouflage and since I haven't found teh right colour for the camouflage pattern I went with the plain (mail-away) version.
The last vehicle is the H.A.V.O.C. This huge vehicle is a later Joe vehicle which hides an one man flying machine in the back. It should actually be larger than I had it printed but I am quite happy with it.
Now let's get to the scoring: 6 vehicles in 28mm scale is 120 points. The separate reconnaissance craft from the H.A.V.O.C is more the size of a Space Marine bike, so I guess 10 points are more appropriate, that makes for 130 points if you ask me.
Another blast from the past and an excellent selection of vehicles. Any plans for the crew at a later date? I'm impressed you got the HAVOC printed, I bet that wasn't cheap!
You're bang on with the points so that's another 130 to add to your total. Nicely done sir!
