It's Thursday and it' s World Book Day, one of the things I most enjoy about this hobby is the amount of related reading I do. In many ways I am given a focus by what I want to collect and can then read around the subject and we are really well catered forthat now with Osprey and Helion leaping to mind but also many other publishers in other languages.
I quite enjoy trying to puzzle my way through my various Danish, French and Italian books on uniform, my first uniform book I got when I was about 4, a coffee table book of original prints which I tried to replicate in 3d in plastecine!
We have a big range of figures replicated in 3d today, 3mm Napoleonics, 28mm Romans, BEF, SYW and more.
Welcome to Thursday!
All the best Iain
Welcome to the Painting Challenge. Here you will find the fabulous, fevered work of miniature painters from around the world. While participants come from every ethnicity, gender, age and nationality, they have three things in common: they love miniatures, they enjoy a supportive community, and they want to set themselves against the Challenge. This site features the current year's event along with the archives of past Painting Challenges. Enjoy your visit and remember to come back soon.

World Book Day - awesome. I'm heading to Amazon and Chapters to celebrate. Have a great day of it Iain!
ReplyDeleteDon't buy Amazon and support you local bookshop
Delete'Chapters' is our local bookshop Benito. :)
DeleteIf you're in Sydney, check out Abbey's - great history section (lots of Pen and Sword imprints!), while the upstairs bit houses Galaxy Bookshop, specialising in SF and horror. Many a payday has been spent there, I can tell you...
