Blister BM 014 of the Bloody Miniatures range is The Militant Tendency.
In the 17thC the United Kingdom saw various religious and social movements pop up, most aligning with the Parliamentarian cause and concentrating in it's army.
Dissatisfaction with Parliament led the the formation of the Army Council which was formed, in part, by two elected representatives from each regiment, know as Agitators.
I imagine these would have been religiously invigorated young men, excellent at rousing their coreligionists within the army.
These sculpts perfectly catch that zealousness, and- like the packs previous- have wonderful, characterful faces.
4 28mm figures, at 5 pts each each equals another frugal 20 pts.
Quality over quantity here mate! Love seeing this project evolve, even if its one blister at a time! Especially with that lovely background setting you have going on!
Congrats
Kyle
Fantastic figures and even better painting codsticker. Love the pictures as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted. So much character too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kyle, not only is your painting top notch; the scenic framing is very good too!
ReplyDeleteVery very nice! And and said by the others, Great photos too!
ReplyDeleteExcellent brushwork and nice effort on taking the photos. Good job!
ReplyDeleteReally characterful figures, good job!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work - and I love learning that they were "agitators"...
ReplyDeleteSuperb
ReplyDeleteI am really loving this project. Those are very characterful minis and your painting really brings that out. Also loving the posing in period terrain.
ReplyDeleteSuperb brushwork Rob! I've been wanting to get some of these castings for awhile now and your post is chivvying me along. :)
ReplyDeleteAs Curt I will blame you if I fall to the bloody miniature challenge. Great brush work on great looking miniatures.
ReplyDeleteGosh, those minis are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAwesome looking figures, but for me they are on the wrong team. God Save the King 😀
ReplyDeleteFantastic work, Rob! I am always tempted by this period, but I know it would just end up being fodder for musketeer pulp gaming!
ReplyDeleteI quite like the casting and animation of the troopers they are fantastic. The color choice is grand too as they definitely have a lower class low middle class vibe!
