My next submission is clearing up some backlog from my prep pile. One of the side effects of a broken leg is that ducking outside to prime fresh kit is a much more involved process so I am forced to paint stuff I have been procrastinating. Curses! It is what it is though and the backlog is dwindling so not all bad.
These are all for Star Wars Legion and comprise Cad Bane, Rebel Pathfinders, Rebel Specialists (with head swaps as I got a second set free) and the droids everyone is apparently looking for.
Bad ass and bad maintenance |
Someone else has a dodgy right leg! |
Say "Orange Space Onsie" one more time Carl and I swear I will end you. |
My Rebels are a deliberately motley crew and spend most of their time in Mos Millsy, which means I have a desert "uniform" and nobody is uniform if you know what I mean. That translates into every mook and his bantha being essentially a character figure which is a longer paint job but the outcome is worth it.
Stop! Hammer time! |
Number one in the pecking order |
There are things living in that beard |
I'm submitting these for the Challenge Library as Overdue and Returns (there's an oblique reference there for hardcore nerds) for an extra 20 galactic credits.
The only hill for miles and we crashed on it... |
17 x 28mm infantry = 85 points
1 x x 28mm vehicle = 20 points
1 x library visit = 20 points
Total = 125 points.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Millsy

G'day Millsy! Thanks for this lovely Star Wars treat! The injury sucks, but having a broken leg is one of the few credible explanations I might accept for spending any time painting Cad Bane. I keep hoping a 3D designer will do a version of that bell end of a character with his head stuck in a latrine while on fire...
But I digress! Mos Millsy is an awesome setting, and you have done fine work on these figures. There are so many great Star Wars figures out there, and the anonymous assortment of rebels and aliens you have here are among the finest. Your extra effort on each one has paid off. The escape pod is always a great terrain piece, and your work here is fine too - it looks just like it has had a bumpy ride through the (otherwise surely pristine) atmosphere above Mos Millsy, landing nearby, with mayhem ensuing...
Great work on the droids too...painting R2 is always tricky, in terms of getting the white just right, which you have done. And painting C-3P0 is always a bit of a challenge too, because at the end of the process, you have C-3P0...but then, you can kill him off in a game of "Star Wars", so that is always worth it...can't tell you how many "Star Wars" games we have enjoyed where I got the chance to kill 3P0 - once with an orbital strike! Ah the memories...

ReplyDelete@valleyboy - they are Fantasy Flight Games minis although I believe the range is now owned by a mob called Asmodee?
@Tom L - I do have a few 3D prints in the mix but not this lot.
