The Last Thor's Day

The last Thor's Day of the Challenge, oh how does the time flies, plans changes and miniatures are getting painted. The last two Challenges I have given you some small bits of information of Finland, facts, habits and couple of words (sauna and sisu), but of course the universal habit is to teach strangers some curse words of the language. So here we go, this is THE curse word of Finnish, it is not dirty word (like the f-word), even though it is not considered good manners to use it too much and especially not by kids. I'm quite sure it is a word for any occasion (like gin tonic is a drink for any occasion) and it can be pronounced with different ways which show different emotions etc. And to emphasize the meaning, just add more 'r' letters in the middle.

:perkele:

PERKELE

The feeling of PRKL.

The mother of all Finnish swearwords. Literally means the devil but at the same time it means so much more. You can make the curse longer and more effective by rolling the ‘r’. If you say it, say it like you mean it!

----- End of Finn talking about Finland -----
