A quick General Post 😉 today as I stick well and truly to my schedule and knock out the second of the two sub Commander bases.
Figures are Victrix as usual, however on thing I have noticed is how huge the horses are ! For Ancients I base 3 Cavalry on a 60 x 60 base, generally no problems at all (check out my last unit of Aventine Cavalry) these won't fit 3 up on a 60 x 60 base, mostly due to the width of the horses. I need to remember that when I start building my Carthaginians up.
Nicely done Ken.
ReplyDeleteI was looking at some Victrix cavalry for my Napoleonics and usually base in pairs on a 40mm frontage so I'll watch out for that.
Cheers, I'll put a picture up on Facebook later 👍
DeleteLooking good Ken!

Many thanks 👍
DeleteI am falling in love with the head gear from this period! How could a general with a helmet mount that cool ever be defeated in battle?
ReplyDeleteMore plumage = More Importance 😄
DeleteGreat looking command stand. Gotta love an Etruscan-Corinthian helmet!
ReplyDeleteWould making the bases deeper with the same frontage allow you to put three of the Clydesdales per base?
Possibly, I'm going to use other makes for this, but it is something to be aware of, I'll put a pic up on FB later
DeleteLovely looking command stand! Interesting that victrix horses are that big,I'm also interested in some of their cavalry, good to know!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
