The Second Theme Round ('Rider(s) and Mount(s)') is Now Up!

I'm happy to announce that the second theme round is now ready for viewing so please, click on over to the Theme Page, view all the wonderful entires and cast your votes. As usual, the top three get extra points and a prize from one of our prize sponsors.

For this, the 'Rider(s) and Mount(s)' theme, I decided to submit a 'Tanchanka' machine-gun cart which was a common sight along the Eastern Front during both the Great War and the Russian Civil War. This also serves as a kick-off for a new project of mine which will focus on many of the colourful units which fought during Russian Civil War.

So please visit the gallery, enjoy all the wonderful submissions and, again, remember to vote for your favourites!

  1. Marvelous painting on that Tanchanka! If I ever get back to my Russians I have to get me one too.

    1. Thanks Nick, I'm sure that once it hits your desk you'll do a brilliant job on it. It's a very nice little kit, though scaled on the small side of 25mm. I think you'll like it.

  3. RCW is an interesting period. I wish you well with it. Armoured trains, Cossacks, regular cavalry as well. Tanks ( 6 supplied by Britain as well as more by other nations) as well as armoured cars and aircraft. You sir will turn this into an exciting project I am sure.

    1. Thanks Clint! It is a fascinating period to be sure - a real watershed of history and, as you say, there is no lack of interesting characters, units, vehicles to dive into.

    1. Thanks Juan. I'm not planning anything too big. Just enough to play some Chain of Command games with and perhaps use for Pulp adventures.
