Here is another Landwehr unit, Salzburg, next to no white but yellow facings. These are mostly Perry bodies with Victrix heads. The officer is a Perry plastic Confederate as are the drums, drummers arms and flagpole and arms with Victrix bodies.
A casualty marker for last weeks lower Austrian Landwehr and a generic Austrian Infantry marker,as I decided I would like the Salzburg marker to be wearing the right hat!
Flag by Victrix once more, the older pattern used by Landwehr. I'm getting used to painting the flagpole as it doesn't take as long now!
Working on some Austrian cavalry next, lets see how we go,points 24 x 5 so 120, plus 2 x 2.5 for the casualty bases, so 125 to my total and the Napoleonic duel.
All the best
Iain
It's always a pleasure to have a close look at your work Iain, and this is no disappointment. Love these Salzburgers (sic?) with their round hats. Great basing too. I also love the mixing and matching of bits between manufacturers and eras. I'm throwing in a few points for the fall and conversion work.
However, shouldn't a Salzburg unit replace its drummer with a Nun warbling on about lonely goat herds?
Nice looking unit Iain! I really like how you based these!

Lovely looking Landwehr, Iain. They look ready to have yet another bad year facing off against that Buonaparte chap.
ReplyDeleteThanks Curt, yes probably won't end well, hence the casualty markers!

Very nice work Iain and great to see more Naps here. You've given me an idea for a unit of 6mm Austrians, since it's an army I have a lot of 3D files for. The casualty markers are very effective.

Thanks Mike, useful to have some Landwehr and it breaks up all that white!
