...however, please note that this simply means that you can submit your exploration reports for attention of the Stewards Department on any day rather than on a specific one. It does not, repeat *NOT* mean that you can publish them yourself."

"OK, that's out of the way, on with the progress update. It seems that all my threats of demonstrating the use of my new whips has had little impact as our explorer guests have only covered 6,240 parsecs in the last seven days (just 110 parsecs more the previous week). It also looks as though someone regretted their pledge level (presumably made after a few too many glasses of Venusian brandy) as our pledge total has dropped from 85,989 to 85,489 parsecs. As we currently stand at 76,504 parsecs explored, that means that we need to cover 8,985 parsecs in the six days remaining, or about 1500 parsecs per day."

"Looking at the exploration reports that have been submitted for approval, I see we have the following:

• TashaH is doing laps of the Outer Ring
• TeemuL is putting the ring into the Outer Ring*
• PhilH shows intelligence on Solaris and then finds a bacon tree on Caprica

It looks as though GaryA and ChrisW should also have reports submitted before the day is out."
