Following on from last weeks Union artillery top up I give you the enhancements for the Rebs. Not as many as the Union , but decent enough. My CSA batteries are 2 Gun models (for 4 actual guns). Figures etc are, as usual, 10mm Pendraken. They are again finished with thin coat of Satin Varnish
4 limber teams and 8 guns added to my Reb force's
These take the Reb artillery park to 8 batteries only another 4 to go to get to the final tally
Points
8 guns = 24
32 gunners , 10 unridden horses = 42
4 vehicle/limbers = 24
10 mounted horse/riders = 30
10 limber passengers /crew = 5
Total 125 .to the total and the little guys duel

Another fine artillery submission Dave. The Prendraken sculpts are the finest 10mm out there, and they look wonderful all done up here.
Another 125 points for your ACW artillery park!

Looking great Mr D. Clever basing using the sabots to hold both guns and li bars, must remember that one. Always good to include limbers.

DeleteThat is a great idea to put the artillery bases in movement trays.
ReplyDeleteCheers - I have good ideas sometimes!
DeleteWonderful work Dave. I really like the sabot tray system you've developed for these. I'm sure you've mentioned it before, but what rules are you using for your ACW games?
ReplyDeleteHi - it’s Alter of Freedom by Little Wars TV . Corps level games . Had some brilliant games with it
DeleteVery nice job and I like the way you settled on the battery bases.

DeleteI'm another fan of your trays!
ReplyDeleteThanks - for the rules Altar of Freedom a consistent frontage helps and it was a good way of doing it and having the figures available for things like Pickets Charte
DeleteAnother great entry Dave, I'd love to see a shot with all the armies on the table before the end of the challenge, your minis just look great.
ReplyDeleteThe ACW collection has certainly grown over the years
DeleteA great looking unit. How big of a table do you need for the full corps level battle?
ReplyDeleteYou can do it on a 6x4 for 9x6 for decent battle like Gettysburg
DeleteExcellent ACW and limbers to boot. Very jealous and find the try’s a great idea Dave.

DeleteGreat looking artillery and limbers!
ReplyDeleteBest iain
Cheers
DeleteExcellent looking artillery and the sabot bases work really well too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray
DeleteMore great artillery. Clever to make up a blank flocked bade to fill out the tray and make them easier to move.
ReplyDeleteCheers - yes it meant I didn’t need two sizes of sabots as well
DeleteLovely work Dave as usual - what I like about limbers as well is that they give a battery real depth on the table and make them an obstacle for friendly troops
ReplyDeleteYes indeed , they take up plenty of space . Cheers D
