Well I finally managed to complete the remaining 5 Knights of Minas Tirith, that were meant to accompany the single Knight I submitted to the Mount and Rider Bonus Theme round. But as probably many of you found, things got a little busy on the domestic and work fronts around that due date...
But no matter, I got one done in time for then, and can offer to you, the rest now...
I wont go on further as I fleshed out that post with a little prose...
Suffice to say, these Knights were sent, to recapture Osgiliath, in the movie; Return of the King, and there they met their 'Agincourt'...
I can't recall now whether such knights featured in the novel, ...
but I am glad PJ put them in the movie, as it meant...
GW gave us the figures to play the game :)
And one final shot of all 6 together as they should have appeared...
From Curt:
Absolutely beautiful work Scott. I knew when I saw your first 'test' model in the theme round that we were going to be treated to something very nice when these were all arrayed and you did not disappoint. As usual your painting is smooth and clean (especially on the flags and shields for which I've given a few extra points) and its further complimented by the wonderfully verdant groundwork. A worthy addition to your collection. Bravo!
Welcome to the Painting Challenge. Here you will find the fabulous, fevered work of miniature painters from around the world. While participants come from every ethnicity, gender, age and nationality, they have three things in common: they love miniatures, they enjoy a supportive community, and they want to set themselves against the Challenge. This site features the current year's event along with the archives of past Painting Challenges. Enjoy your visit and remember to come back soon.

Excellent work Scott :)
ReplyDeleteNice work
ReplyDeleteThe Knights of Dol Amroth are mentioned and I think there might be a reference to other horsemen of Gondor charging with them.

ReplyDeleteVery nicely painted models. Be careful with your spears as I've found that they break during play if you are too rough.
