From AdamC - Five Soldiers and a Hound (30 Points)

That's right more Frostgrave (don't worry I am working on some other figures I promise) this time some some soldiers to escort an enterprising wizard.  All of these are Northstar figures (though they have some parts from my bits box thrown in) 4 of them are plastic and two are metal.

The first metal figure is the bonus Templar from the Lich Lord Nickstarter.  A fearsome warrior with a massive hammer worthy of Thor.  I've named this intrepid warrior Martel (from the French word for Hammer)

I like the fact that this guy despite being a wealthy warrior with full mail harness he carries his own gear.

Martel is a bit bigger than his plastic brothers in arms but only in the way one man is particularly big not out of scale.

I've named this soldier Senvuf for no particular reason.  This guy makes a good Man-At-Arms or a knight (his armor would be under his winter clothing).

The horn was an add on that came from a Wargames Factory box that provided lots of troops for last challenge and lots of bits for my bits box.
Next up is a soldier named Berold a hardened warrior looking for treasure in the dark corners of Frosgrave. His sword a clipped end sort of like a "sax" I wish that showed better in the picture but this entry is picture heavy already.

The shield is another Wargames Factory cast off and its presence lets me make this guy a thug or Man-at-arms... or even a knight (all soldier types in the Frosgrave game).

This fierce looking fellow with the halberd shall be called Mathies and he works quite well for an infantry man a Frosgrave soldier with a two handed weapon.

I wanted to suggest he's in a uniform of some sort hence the regular colors of dark gray set off with green and the red sash.

The last of the humans is the Mule, a Frostgrave soldier with the special ability of carrying up to three special items (usually magical). I am naming him Odo after one of two "typical" medieval peasant a teacher(Dr. Zupko) of mine used as comic relief characters in his lectures.  I had to modify the torch since they so it would fit in a right hand, a common problem with a number of times form the Northstar plastic set.

The Quiver is the final addition from my bits box and is also from the Wargames Factory.

Last of all we have the faithful war hound, these guys aren't the best fighters but they are fast and cheep so every new wizard should have one in my opinion.

I'm calling this fellow Rould in honor of the arctic explorer who owed much of his success to his use of dogs. I was going for an English Mastiff look and I got close fur is hard to do when the miniature is smooth

If you think he looks big your right, here he is next to a Gripping Beast Irish Wolfhound and he dwarfs that figure I can only assume that the Wizards of the Frostgrave world are doing things to to dogs to make them bigger.

All told we have 6 figures here for another 30 points, assuming full points for the Dog.  When trying to come up with names (something I do for all frostgrave soldiers, as it keeps them form being pure spell fodder in my mind) I used http://fantasynamegenerators.com/ when my own imagination is coming up short.

Great work Adam! I like that you've given names and personalities to all your warband - it really bring them to life. I particularly like 'Mule'.  The effect of the burning torch is very good.
