Saturday's Information Bulletin from the Ministry of Truth

Well, I'm very pleased.  We're almost a month into the Challenge and I think things are moving along pretty smoothly.  Over two thirds of our participants have submitted entries and from these entries we've been treated to loads of amazing miniatures - over 16,000 points worth. So I extend a big 'Thank You' for all your enthusiasm, support and hard work.

On an administrative note, we have a new Challenger joining us. LeeH is coming aboard, replacing StacyS who unfortunately can't continue due to pressing family commitments. My best wishes go to Stacy in that things go well, and I hope to see you join us in a future Challenge.

For those who don't know him, our new recruit Lee is known in the hobby blogosphere as Big Lee from Big Lee's Miniature Adventures. He is also a charter member of that glamorous gaming group from Gravesend: 'Postie's Rejects'. Lee will be joining 'Tamsin's Tuesday Teamsters' and will be aiming for a 300 point target. Please join me in welcoming Lee aboard!

As a final note, in regards to future Theme Round submissions, feel free to submit your work to me via email if you want to make sure nobody peaks before the 'big reveal'. It's not a necessity, but some people have asked if this can be accommodated and it is no problem at all.

Alright brush-jockeys, I'll return you back to our regular Saturday programming.

Curt Out.

  1. More work for Tamsin. (I am not sniggering honest... OK but just a little.)

Welcome aboard Lee. And very sorry to see Stacy go but hope to see her again next time.

    2. I shall add him to the hallowed list of participants tonight and thought the black magic of spreadsheets his name shall appear upon the roll.

With great fanfare, I dubb thee, Lee as participant number 89. So let it be typed in a comment, so let it be done.

    3. Great news Lee! You seemed so despondent on your blog just the other day at not having joined us this year. I guess it was meant to happen!

    1. In an ironic twist I'm away for the weekend with the wife and Daughter (its her Birthday). I spent a few hours yesterday doing some prep and I'll hit the ground running on Sunday evening.

  7. Thanks for the words of support. I'm looking forward to cracking on with lots of projects...just as soon as I get back from a weekend away with the family!! Great timing, but at least I have a day to ponder my strategy...and the exact nature of my points bomb. Well, I learned at the elbow of the ultimate sandbagger... No names mentioned Ray.

  10. Welcome aboard Lee. I sent my entry via email as I don't think I have access to posting on the theme round blog.
