PeterD's Challenge - A Renaissance Man

So this year marked several milestone - first side duel (lost), first time my target was met (800pts), first time as Minion.  It was a great Challenge and I really enjoyed being the Monday Minion.  Go Team Monday, you were great!

So what did I do to get my 876 point total?  Let's start with the Renaissance Men side duel, which I narrowly lost to Curt with a Margin of victory of three 28mm infantrymen!

Sinister looking clergy
Codottierre Commander
Two light guns
Commanders poking fun at Sylvain and Curt
Italian Men At arms with Pole Arms.

Charles the Bold as Epic Fail
Curt Geld commander and standard

Stradiotti
Swiss pike, probably my favourite unit.
Gendarmes

Next up some add-ons for my War of 1812 project.
Cold refreshments
Generals
Half a marine unit.
And finally the none-of the-aboves for Bonus them rounds.

Nostalgia - I think the 40mm figures this year
Nautical round, 15 years on the stocks
Risk Taker Jock Campbell, fiurst 15s painted in 20 years
And finally me.

As my peers see me.
As my gaming crew sees me.
As my daughter still sees me, 20 years later!

  2. A magnificent Challenge my fellow Minion. It would have been even more magnificent if you'd actually cleaned up the Minioning Room before handing it over to me for the Tuesday crew :)

  4. Great work Peter. The Sylvaino and Campbellino command stands were hilarious and I really liked your pike block as well. It was a heap of fun trying to keep pace with you during our Renaissance Men duel - we'll have to do it again.

BTW, what in earth are you wearing in that last photo? You look like a transgender Ukrainian baba wearing the drapes from a window. It's rather fetching actually... ;)

    1. Thanks Curt
We'll have to get the upgraded collections on table. As for the duel, name your victory prize.

And yes that was probably the look that I was going for. Katie is of course in a vintage 80s bridesmaid dress.

  9. Very nice collection of forces, Peter! I have been inspired to bump my plastic Empire troops for the next go because of Curt and your Italian duel. They'll suffice till I get proper forces prepped. I most enjoyed your flats from the Nostalgia round. I fully intend upon keeping the pressure on my wife till she allows me to order from Prince August! ;)

  12. All of your stuff is wonderfully painted and certain to crush Mr Curt on the tabletop.

Scary fashion choices though - is your lovely daughter still horrified of you in public?
