The 'What a Tanker!' Challenge

This year we are delighted to have 'Too Fat Lardies' joining our storied list of Challenge sponsors. Hooray!

Rich and Nick will be providing a prize which they will award to the best 'What a Tanker!' submission decided at the end of the Painting Challenge. Eligible entries will feature an armoured vehicle from the WWI to WWII period in 28mm scale. We ask that all those who want to have their entry considered to label it with 'What a Tanker!', which will better allow the Lardies to search through the submissions for their consideration (and, no doubt, open-jawed admiration).

Thank you, Rich and Nick, for your support of the Challenge! I'm certain you're going to be treated to many stunning armour entries over the next few months.

    1. Yes indeed! Did you just assume my scale?
Many 15mm vehicles struggle for recognition on a daily basis...

I call for a boycott of fascistly scaled vehicles in objection to their 28mm privilege...

    2. I'm going to use #notatanker for all non-28mm scale vehicles for this challenge.

    1. Camels are the Victorian equivalent of tanks. Tanks of the desert I think they were called. Camels are people too and deserve to be represented.

    3. I expect those camels to be at least armored.

Since they were actually referred to as the "ships of the desert", camels also may qualify for the nautical Side Duel

  5. I have some 1/48 tanks that I use for 28mm scale WW2 gaming. Are they too heretical?

  8. Ok, how do I join in this one..? there's a Konigs Tiger that I picked up, and will never have enough support points to field in Chain of Command, so it's a painting project only..

    2. Since you mentioned 15mm, I believe the correct term is Tankettes - if I'm not mistaken
