Firstly apologies to all involved with my lack of updates on these two Duels, Time just ran away with me, as well as I was painting like a man possessed!
The Challenge is all over for another year, only another 9 months to go for Challenge 12!! I'd like to thank all who appeared in the Napoleonic and Donnybrook Challenges, I had a lot of fun in both.
We have a clear winner in the Napoleonics, Noel lept in at the death and squeezed Paul out of the top spot and 2 adventurers failed to post a Napoleonic figure.
So here are the final tables
Napoleonic
- Noel 1605 points
- PaulSS 1389 points
- PeteF 1095 points
- RayR 457 points
- Sander 320 points
- IainW & MattW 0 points
Apologies if I've missed out any posts or points, it would have been easier for me if everyone had labelled their posts with the Napoleonic Duel, sigh......
Probably the only time my Napoleonics will ever score a victory!
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping track of this, Ray.
I keep toying with the idea of Donnybrook (but it's yet another period!) - maybe next year?
Ray, my entry merely served as a starting pistol for your efforts. :) Well done, you work was inspiring!
DeleteI thought that was your plan!
DeleteCongratulations Noel and thanks to Ray for keeping score.
ReplyDeleteGreat work to all. Being a historical gamer I love to see so many horse and musket figures
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping track Ray - and congratulations to Noel for an impressive tally.
ReplyDeleteThanks for organising this one Ray, buty you're still shite at counting points :-P I did enter another 70 points worth of cavalry right at the start of the Challenge and I believe I made the tab Napoleonic Duel for that one. You even scored it in your "points update" yourself so my ending total should be 390

Still love you though you Old Badger!
Doh!
DeleteWell I found it a really useful way of painting 500 points of French Napoleonic cuirassiers,as you said better late than never,so thanks for putting it on!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Great job guys . Back to Napoleonics next year for me !
ReplyDeleteThe Napoleonic era is truly one of the most visually stunning (and difficult to paint) when it comes to wargaming. Congratulations to all on their gorgeous entries this year. Ray and Curt's Donnybrook minis also looked fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSadly my local club has been haemorrhaging historical gamers pretty badly, so no-one locally plays Napoleonics, otherwise I'd be sorely tempted to paint them myself. Donnybrook is another temptation I'm trying hard to resist. Maybe some day...
Do it, do it!
DeleteFrom now on I shall call you Lucy!
